It was wonderful to be back at the Kortright Centre for Conservation in Vaughan for Lauren and Steve’s wedding. We continue to love photographing weddings at this venue that is so close to Toronto but offers nature at its finest. If there is a better green natural outdoor wedding venue so close to the city that allows couples to have their ceremony in a majestic forest and dance under the stars we haven’t come across it yet. Throw in the fact they deliver scrumptious on-site catering and it’s an easy choice for nature lovers. As wedding photographers, the other thing we love about Kortright is the crazy amount of options for photo locations. Every time we are there we discover new awesome spots. Love it!!
Lauren and Steve’s wedding day was one incredible day. They now live in Calgary, where Lauren is from, but brought out a whole herd of friendly and very fun Albertan family and friends for the celebration. For us the day started out with a heavy downpour when we were driving on the 400 on the way to Kortright. Luckily Lauren and Steve were having a late day summer ceremony. By the time we started doing some photos we were just getting some drip drops and then the sky cleared up. That left us with the perfect mix of sun and clouds for photos. Lauren and Steve set aside an awesome chunk of time for photos and we had a fantastic time with them during their portrait session. Lauren looked absolutely stunning in her dress and they were so at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. They really had fun with it and enjoyed themselves. We really enjoyed capturing them and loved being a part of their special day.
