We are fully bracing ourselves for our website to crash soon after this wedding is posted on our blog. This couple is LOVED and it is more than clear to us why. Cassie and Jeff are free-spirited, adventurous and full of life. They are super fun!! We had the pleasure of first meeting Cassie and Jeff last year when we photographed her sister Amanda’s wedding. Elfreda and I had an awesome time capturing her day and getting to know the whole family so we were very excited when Cassie contacted us to also capture her big day. Now we are a little sad there are no more beautiful, cool and fun sisters because this family knows how to celebrate and really have a lot of fun.
Cassie and Jeff tied the knot at Honsberger Estate in the heart of Niagara. It was our first time photographing a wedding at this venue and we absolutely loved it. Honsberger is a family owned and operated winery, farm, restaurant and wedding venue and to us they do it all exceptionally well. The family element shines through as even we felt like we were treated like family. They and all the staff were so friendly and the service was second to none. Shortly before the outdoor ceremony was to take place we were hit by a pretty heavy downpour of rain but the staff at Honsberger didn’t miss a beat. Everything had been covered beforehand to ensure the ceremony would be able to go on without a hitch. Very quickly after the rain stopped their whole crew went to work to quickly dry up the ceremony space and the outdoor bistro.
There were so many elements of Cassie and Jeff’s day that we loved. Cassie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and Jeff looked very dapper and stylish. We also loved the look of the bridesmaids – their hair and their different dresses. They looked so amazing! What a gorgeous group of girls! The whole bridal party was so much fun to work with. Cassie and Jeff also love good food and drink and they were both important elements of their wedding celebration. Honsberger sure didn’t disappoint there, either. They had three different food stations at dinner as well as pizza served late night from ‘The Oven’ at the outside bistro and everything was fantastic. Simply delectable! Cassie and Jeff are also craft beer aficionados and we loved that they enjoyed a pint of beer as part of their wedding ceremony. Though Cassie definitely drank the lion’s share! We would also have to say Cassie’s dance with her dad was the most fun and beautiful father-daughter dance we’ve ever seen. From now on I think it will forever come to my mind when I hear Bohemian Rhapsody. There is so much more about Cassie and Jeff’s day that we loved but we’ll now let the photos do the talking.
