Something we’ve really loved about being wedding photographers are all the new places we’ve visited when doing engagement sessions for our couples. Elfreda and I love travelling more than anything and the majority of the time that means leaving the country to explore another part of the world. It’s easy to take for granted the beauty of the places right in our own backyard. Over the years, many of our couples have introduced us to places we’d never visited before. We love doing adventure sessions for couples and travelling to locations farther from home to be able to do their engagement portraits in a place that has special meaning for them. For Taylor and Farhad, it was Port Stanley. It’s a place they have visited many times over the years and it holds a lot of special memories for them. Elfreda and I had never been to Port Stanley before so we were excited to visit and experience it with them for the first time. Port Stanley has a beautiful stretch of sandy beach on Lake Erie’s north shore. It does have a quaint little village and it’s a beautiful walk along the pier to the lighthouse. It was a gorgeous early summer evening in June for Taylor and Farhad’s engagement session. Elfreda and I loved photographing them and getting to know them more as we explored Port Stanley together. We can’t wait to capture their wedding at Hacienda Sarria in Kitchener next year. One of our very favourite wedding venues with so many spots to create gorgeous photos.
