Fergus Fall Engagement Photos Elora Wedding Photographers | Melissa & Nick

Couple standing in a sunflower field

We had so much fun with Melissa and Nick when we did their fall engagement session. Most of the time we meet our couples for the first time when we do their engagement photos. We are always very excited to meet them and it’s a great way to get to know each other before their wedding. It’s not absolutely necessary for couples to do engagement portraits before their wedding just to meet their wedding photographers if they aren’t interested in having engagement photos. There are many weddings we do every year where we meet the couple for the first time on their wedding day and everything goes perfectly. We would say it is advantageous for very shy couples or couples that feel it would help them get used to being in front of the camera. Meeting us in advance and getting to know us would definitely make shy or camera-shy couples feel more relaxed on their wedding day because they will already know us and feel more comfortable being around us. That in itself will help them be more natural and let loose on their wedding day so we can capture their true selves.

With Melissa and Nick, it quickly felt like we had known them for a long time already. They were very comfortable in front of the camera and we loved capturing them. It was very obvious they are very much in love and have a lot of fun together. The sunflower field was in full bloom when we did their engagement session. We also explored the apple orchard, the corn maze and a beautiful field where they finished up and celebrated by popping a bottle of champagne. We can’t wait to capture their summer wedding at Stonewall Estates in Lincoln!
