It was a lot of fun to see Kaely and Alain’s family again. A couple years had already passed since we photographed their whole family together at the cottage. Everyone had come to Ontario to spend time together for a very special family celebration. We first met Kaely and Alain when we photographed her sister Kara’s wedding. It’s hard to believe how many years have now passed since we captured Kara’s wedding day and first met everyone in their family. Since we first met them their families have become bigger. When we first met them, the kids were so young. It’s always fun to see how much they’ve grown and the people they are becoming.
We photographed Kaely’s sister Jody’s family a week earlier. The one thing their mom told them she would really love for Christmas is family photos of their families so they both did a family portrait session with us. We were already well into the fall season so it was lucky they contacted us when they did. Fall is usually an extremely busy time of year for us and it can get very difficult to schedule more photos sessions on short notice. Our fall weekends are still busy with weddings and many of our couples also love to schedule their engagement sessions for the fall, too. If you are thinking of a fall photo session to capture the beautiful colours of the season it is always best to plan ahead if possible. We do schedule sessions seven days a week though so if your family is flexible, we can almost always find a day that works. Weekdays are the easier days to schedule and they are also the easiest to reschedule if the weather doesn’t cooperate and you would like to postpone.
For Kaely and Alain’s family portrait session we travelled from the Cambridge, Ontario area to the University of Guelph Arboretum. The fall is definitely one of the best times of the year for family photos. The weather is more comfortable and the bugs are gone for the season. No mosquitoes biting makes it a much more pleasurable time outdoors. We had so much fun capturing this beautiful family! The kids are so polite, friendly and super cute!!! So much fun to photograph!!!
