Lindsey and Jeff had their wedding ceremony at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Grimsby on a gorgeous summer day in August. After they said their I do’s we travelled to Gage Park in Hamilton with them and the whole bridal party to do photos. From there we then headed to downtown Hamilton for their cocktail hour and reception at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. The Irving Zucker Sculpture Garden is beautifully landscaped and an ideal space for an outdoor cocktail hour. Lindsey and Jeff’s reception was held in the Joey and Toby Tanenbaum Pavilion. The floor to ceiling glass windows that wrap around the pavilion let heaps of beautiful light into the reception room and makes it a very bright, airy and contemporary space for a wedding celebration. This wedding venue in the heart of downtown Hamilton offers plenty of spots for creating beautiful wedding photography in its open areas. We loved being Lindsey and Jeff’s wedding photographers. It was so much fun working with them and getting to know them. We knew we would have a lot of fun with them from the first FaceTime conversation we had with them when we were on vacation in South Africa. We go to South Africa every winter to visit Elfreda’s family so many couples end up booking us after having a FaceTime/Skype chat or just email messaging us. More and more often couples won’t meet us in person until after they’ve officially booked us as their wedding photographers. We are always up to meeting before booking but sometimes couple’s lives are too busy for them to meet up with us. They love our photography and just know they really want to work with us. Soon after we got home from travelling in South Africa we met up with Lindsey and Jeff for a couple drinks to get to know each other more before their wedding. It was definitely our most memorable client meetings to this day and we had an awesome time hanging out with them. A visit to downtown in the Hammer is always memorable.
Here are some of our favourites from their big day.
