We had an amazing time capturing Kelly and Jeff’s spring wedding at Cambridge Mill in Cambridge, Ontario. Elfreda and I have photographed so many weddings at this beautiful venue over the years that we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve worked there. Cambridge Mill is one of the incredible Pearle Weddings and Events wedding venues and we love working at them all. We can say we absolutely love photographing weddings at Cambridge Mill and we always have an awesome time documenting romantic and fun wedding days there. Kelly and Jeff’s wedding being no exception. We know every nook and cranny of the property to create gorgeous natural portraits of the couples we work with. One of our favourite things about Cambridge Mill weddings is The Pavilion. It’s a stunning glass-encased chapel overlooking the Grand River. What we love most about the The Pavilion chapel is the gorgeous light that pours into it no matter what time of the year the wedding ceremony is being held. It’s perfect for a wedding being held at any time of the year but it would be an ideal place for an afternoon winter ceremony with the large windows letting all the available light in.
Elfreda and I knew we were going to have a lot of fun working with Kelly and Jeff from the first time we met them for drinks at The Cornerstone in Guelph on a Sunday morning. By the time we finished our meeting with them we felt like we had just hung out with good friends we had known for years. We always want to capture very natural portraits of our wedding couples so it’s important they feel very comfortable with us so they can be themselves on their wedding day. Thankfully virtually every one of our couples tells us that they do feel incredibly comfortable around us. Kelly and Jeff were very relaxed on their wedding day and their main concern was enjoying their big day with the family and friends they love. The weather was all over the place on their special day. The day started out with clear skies but by later in the afternoon the rain clouds came in. For a while there it was back and forth between heavy rain, cloudy skies and then a break of sunny clear sky. No worries though. Elfreda always keeps everyone calm and relaxed so the couple can enjoy their special day. She can work very efficiently with limited time to get family portraits, bridal party portraits and romantic couple portraits. Elfreda can work magic under any circumstance. Elfreda and I also do our very best to capture genuine moments throughout a couple’s wedding day. The real beautiful moments between the bridal and groom, their bridal party and their families. Natural portraits and genuine moments are the most important elements of our wedding photography.
Here are just some of our favourite portraits and candid moments from Kelly and Jeff’s big day.
