We are doing some serious catching up on our wedding blogging. It’s crazy how much time has flown by when we work on putting together blogs of so many incredible weddings that we have not yet posted. Not only from this year but last year, too. We had good intentions to post more earlier this year but we were away a good part of the winter in Namibia and South Africa and then before we knew it wedding season started up again and it became too busy once again.
This is one of the weddings we would have loved to post much sooner. We loved working with this awesome couple! Jessica was one of the sweetest brides ever and Brock is a really easy-going guy. We also LOVE backyard weddings! We really, really love them all – family property weddings in the city, rural farm property weddings, estate weddings, or cottage weddings. In our experience, they are always super fun and very special for the couples. Being able to say their ‘I do’s’ and celebrate with family and friends at a location that has special meaning makes their big day even more memorable. Jessica and Brock had their ceremony and reception at Jessica’s parents’ property outside of Guelph on a gorgeous summer day.
Jessica’s parents, along with the help of Jessica and Brock did a lot of work around the property to get it looking absolutely perfect for the big day. They created a perfect spot for Jessica and Brock’s outdoor ceremony and put up a big tent for the reception celebration. Their family property also had plenty of beautiful spots for portraits. It had the beauty of the Guelph Arboretum, an estate property or somewhere like the Aberfoyle Mill. Whether it is family property with a huge yard, a farm with a beautiful barn or a cottage, family owned properties can make gorgeous wedding venues. They can also make your wedding day much more affordable and they give you free rein over the timing of your day, the food and drink. You can design your day to be exactly how you want it without restrictions.
