Elfreda and I love photographing farm weddings. We really love them for so many reasons. Before we even get into how much we loved being Rhea and Ryan’s wedding photographers and capturing their big day we want to tell you to reach out to us if you are planning a farm wedding. Heck, let’s also include family property weddings, beach house weddings and cottage weddings because we really love them all. We’ll travel anywhere in Ontario and especially Southwestern Ontario for weddings. We pretty much travel anywhere in the world just so it’s clear. Now, back to Rhea and Ryan’s super fun and gorgeous summer farm wedding in Listowel. They couldn’t have had a more beautiful day for their wedding. It was an absolutely perfect August day and the clear sky in the evening blessed us with the most beautiful soft light at sunset. We are massive sunset lovers and we especially want gorgeous sunsets for our couples so we can create the most stunning golden hour and sunset portraits for them. Gorgeous sunset portraits are Elfreda’s specialty and very few photographers can work with light like she can to capture perfect sunset portraits. We always sneak our bride and groom out for sunset portraits. It’s the most beautiful light of the day and that is the time we can create the most gorgeous portraits for them. If you love sunsets and want gorgeous portraits on your wedding day then we are most definitely the wedding photographers for you. That is one of the big reasons we love farm weddings, family property weddings and beach or cottage weddings – the open areas on the land or next to the lake that give us that beautiful light at sunset.
This summer wedding was easily one of the most fun and beautiful farm weddings we ever photographed. Once the speeches and first dances were completed it didn’t take long before the party in the beautiful tent was full on. You can clearly see in the last few photos that the dance floor was packed and guests were partying hard, and that was still early in the evening. We’re sure that party went hard late into the night after we were long gone. That is another thing we love about farm weddings – they are pretty much always a great party and a lot of fun to be part of. Our home base is in Waterloo but as we said, we travel out to Listowel, Durham, Lucknow, Hanover, Shelburne, and all the way to the West Coast of Ontario – Kincardine, Port Elgin, Southampton and Sauble Beach. Anywhere in Perth, Grey, Bruce and Huron. We love to travel!
