Chloe and Cal said their ‘I do’s’ at the stunning Whistle Bear Golf Club in Cambridge Ontario. Elfreda and I were excited to be back at this amazing wedding venue for their wedding. We’ve had quite a few weddings there this year and it continues to be one of our all-time favourite wedding venues. Not only in the Kitchener-Waterloo region but anywhere in Ontario. Chloe and Cal were one of the most fun, friendly and laid-back couples we’ve ever worked with so this was one incredible wedding day for us to capture and be part of.
They were married in the beautiful open-aired chapel located right on the Whistle Bear Golf Club property located just a short walk from the clubhouse that hosted the wedding reception. It features manicured gardens encasing the aisle entrance and has a retractable peaked roof that provides protection from the weather if needed. On hot summer days most couples we’ve worked with choose to keep the roof covered to shield their guest from the heat. After the ceremony we headed straight over to the waterfall area to do family photos while the rest of the guests were ushered straight to the cocktail hour to enjoy themselves. That is one of the best things about having your wedding at Whistle Bear – everything takes place in one location. Having your ceremony, photos and reception all at one location means less travelling on your wedding day and more time to enjoy your day. It’s also a lot less stressful not having to worry about getting from location to location on time. Your guests also really enjoy it, too. They can walk straight out of the chapel directly to the cocktail hour to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres. From there it is a short walk to the reception room inside the clubhouse. Chloe and Cal had their reception in the grand Forestview Room. It’s the largest room and it lets in the most beautiful light making the room bright and airy. The perfect kind of room to host a wedding anytime of the year, but especially in the summer.
Choe and Cal, thank you for allowing us to share your special day with you! We loved capturing it and getting to know you both so much!!!
Lots of love, Ed and Elfreda
