Winter can feel magical, especially when you are surrounded by snow. The snowy landscape on the rural property near Kitchener-Waterloo that Rhian and Eric chose for their winter engagement session was the perfect location. The woods looked like a winter wonderland. Deep piles of soft snow covered the ground, making everything looks white and bright.
As we started the shoot, flurries began to fall from the sky. It felt like the perfect moment for a romantic winter dream couple’s shoot. Rhian and Eric embraced the cold with joy. They played in the snow, letting their laughter fill the air. Their playfulness made it easy to capture real moments between this couple in love.
One of the highlights was their furry friend, Carlos. He joined in on the fun and we absolutely love it when couples include their dogs in the engagement photos and on their wedding day. We love dogs! Watching them slide across the frozen pond was a sight to see. It was a delightful mix of playfulness and love.
The forest provided a peaceful setting and a cozy fee. Especially when they enjoyed some hot chocolate in the back of the pick-up truck. They also brought a beautiful wooden toboggan to have some fun on in the snow. This couple clearly loves the outdoors as much as we do.
We had a fantastic time with Rhian, Eric and Carlos. We are now even more excited for their Elora Mill wedding in the spring. It promises to be a fun one based on what we experienced at their engagement shoot. Capturing genuine moments likes these is what makes us love working with our couples. Our couples continue to make us the best wedding photographers we can possibly be and keep growing as artists.
