Bride and groom kissing with beautiful golden light on them at Cambridge Mill

Oh man, where do we even begin with Mary and Nik’s wedding at Cambridge Mill? If you are searching for a dreamy wedding venue, this is definitely a top contender. Not only one of the best wedding venues in the Cambridge, Ontario area but in the GTA and southern Ontario. Nestled along the Grand River, it’s got that perfect mix of rustic charm and elegance – not to mention the backdrop is just phenomenal! Couples from all over Ontario, from Scarborough to Sarnia, flock to this gorgeous wedding venue, and honestly, it’s not hard to see why. We’ve personally been wedding photographers for many couples that don’t live anywhere near Cambridge. Once they visited the Cambridge Mill, they just knew they must have their wedding ceremony there and celebrate in one of the stunning reception rooms. The historic gristmill has such a rich vibe and has been cleverly transformed into a stunning restaurant and event space, perfect for weddings, where every detail just sings romance.

Let’s talk about the chapel. Oh, my word! It’s an open-air, glass-enclosed pavilion that feels totally magical, especially when the light filters in. Imagine saying your vows with the river rushing beside you – it really creates a moment that feels both intimate and grand. Plus, the chapel is super cozy inside, so couples can rest easy knowing they’re protected from any unpredictable weather during any time of the year.

Mary and Nik’s guests were protected and kept cozy from the November chill and were comfortable as can be during the ceremony. It wasn’t a warm November day but it also wasn’t a cold one, either. Most importantly it wasn’t a windy day. What we did get was dreamy golden evening light for stunning couple portraits. The kind of sunset light that every one of our couples’ dreams of on their wedding day. Perfect for creating the kind of gorgeous romantic, timeless and classic portrait we love to create for our wedding couples.

As the day unfolded, we were there to capture as many of the authentic smiles and touches of love between our couple and their family and friends. We stealthily watch for emotional moments to capture with photos throughout the wedding day. After the wedding day we want our couples to relive their day with the photos we capture so it feels like we were able to tell the story of their day. It’s a privilege for us to be wedding photographers and document the love, laughter and all the emotion on a couple’s wedding day.
